Day 02 Trial
[It is once more time to convene at the temple to pass judgment upon those who would destroy everything we know and love. Godspeed, my friends.]
((Vote here!
EDIT: Right now barely anyone has voted, and people seem to be tapering off. Trial may be extended depending on how it looks closer to closing time!
EDIT2: Okay, I'm extending the vote two hours to 6:30pm EST! We're still missing a lot of votes, so please get those in even if it's just to abstain!))

I'll ask you to bear in mind that we only had one vision apiece by this time yesterday. As such, Miss Lynne and I had no way to know whether or not my visions or hers were the genuine article.
I'll admit that Miss Lynne sought me out last night, asking to speak with me privately - there's no sense in hiding that. We agreed to dream about one another last night, actually, so we could work it out and strategize from there.
With that in mind, it's possible that Miss Lynne told someone else about her gift, whether intentionally or not; if the person she told was a demon, and she mentioned who she dreamed about the night before...obviously they would know immediately whether she'd dreamed about one of their own.
It's information neither she nor I had any way to know, and only the demons would.

We also have an overzealous and completely unsubtle man that's wanted me dead since yesterday who just so happened to be the other person named.

I must say, I would almost pity a group of demons that would even consider choosing such an overzealous and unsubtle man to take up their charge.

You've obviously never worked with him.

So hidden acting skills are no longer off the table.

Besides, there's a third possibility that no one has mentioned.

Think about it. Why would they put one of their own on the line in such a way? Naming Fool Bright as an innocent has put him under considerable scrutiny and in very real danger. It would have been much simpler and less risky to choose someone at random. The demons know who isn't a demon, after all, and while they might be taking a risk of choosing one of the Sinners, the odds would be highly in their favor that whomever they chose to clear would come up clear, if investigated.
And in fact, by choosing someone who was so vocally and obstinately opposed to Kimblee's claim, they've created a win-win situation. If the group falls for it and votes out Kimblee, we lose our last Seer. If we instead turn our suspicions on the detective, we execute an innocent and subsequently become extremely mistrustful toward Kimblee.

Say we don't vote for Kimblee-san tonight - say that we abstain again, or we turn our paranoia against someone else entirely. If we assume that he's genuine, he'll still be able to dream about Fulbright-san.
And this is why I'm saying that Fulbright-san is the logical choice for the demons to make to spearhead their argument against Kimblee-san - in the event that he doesn't succeed and is dreamed about, there's one way that he could come back clear.

He would come back clean in any dream anyone thought to have of him, if such dreams were considered at all. If he becomes too much of a liability because he can't keep his mouth shut, the Archdemon can be replaced if they're destroyed.
Were I a demon, that would be exactly where I would put him.

I think that's a perfectly good reason to be confident.

Detective Fulbright can't possibly be the Archdemon!

Unless you're claiming to have knowledge that only demons would know, amore, you have no reason to say that.
