[Good morning! For some of you, anyway. Probably. Here come the Shimmering Lady's announcements:]

The Hamadas, who were Soulmates and Demons, have disappeared from the village, and the three sleeping demons were fatally strangled at some point during the night.

The responsibility for these events lies solely on the Night Watch's shoulders. I don't like to be so harsh, but Night Watch is a very serious duty and one with no room for negligence. Therefore, as punishment for last night's irresponsibility, Ling Yao, an ordinary villager, has been sent to the barn.

In addition, Simon Blackquill, a Sinner, has been lost to dreams.

Which is why I was in favour for them to be kept under guard! I gave the demon my word he and his partner would not be harmed-- and now...

I had thought... I assumed the Maddened would limit their attacks to dreams, as they have so far.

I'll take responsibility for not being able to catch them. I didn't want them killed either. but they made it very clear they wanted everyone burned, and I made it clear I wanted them detained.

The blame is mine as well. As chief, it is my duty to see everyone in the village protected... I should not have made such a grave oversight. Nor should your partner have paid the price.

We need to have them detained today, so this will not happen again. I will speak with Detective Fulbright at once.
