Day 01 Trial
[Afternoon is here, and the time has come. We must gather at the temple to enact our solemn duty. There are tears in the Shimmering Lady's eyes as she addresses the group.]
This is something we must do together. Please discuss among yourselves who you believe to be a Demon. Each villager has one vote, and when the trial is over, I'd like you all to close your eyes and concentrate on your choice. If you are not certain, then you may select "no one." But if someone is chosen...
I shall take it from there.

[...at least Connor seemed to think so earlier. Whoops.]
Unpleasantness doesn't make me a demon, however.

Ask me whatever you like. You're a policeman. Interrogate me.

Then you can explain why you would go from "those of us assigned the role will at least know what our visions really mean" to claiming that targeting the false seer is a waste of a shot? Seems to me that if you were really one of the seers, you'd make an effort to remember what the roles actually do rather than suddenly forget in less than a day!

As for why it's a waste of a shot, I meant for the time being - it's only such until either the genuine Seer comes forward or one of my visions is proven correct or not, at which point I'll gladly admit that I'm fair game. Until then, my visions will do nothing but make the rest of you paranoid due to the lot of you being unable to tell whether or not I'm seeing the truth. Mustang said it himself; a confident false seer is a demon's ally, unintentional though it may be. That's why I'm asking you to prove me right or wrong now; it's why I set the note out, and it's why I hoped that particular gambit would work.
I've always believed in putting my soul on the line in all things, you know. There's no beauty in my work otherwise. Right now, my work is doing what I can for the lot of you, and if I end up dead I only have myself to thank for it. The chance that it might happen matters very little to me; I've walked side by side with death my entire life. I'm not afraid, and right now the fact that I've come forward despite this amount of personal risk for the sake of giving you a genuine seer with confidence has proven that I'm more faithful than the rest of you put together.

You clearly described the "waste of a shot" as meaning the false seer is worth less than the real seer, when in fact they're equally important in finding demons. Trying to cover your lack of research with that backpedaling is only making you look more suspicious!
And you can save the noble speech until after you're either convicted or cleared of charges, Mr. Kimblee! You've done nothing to convince me to take your name off of the top of the list of suspects!

I've made this entire argument, I've stated my case and I've claimed the role of one of the Lady's appointed.
And yet I've heard no argument from her.
Do you doubt the Lady's judgement? Do you want to continue your blasphemy by accusing me? Or do you not care about her word?
I'm fairly sure demons don't have to, after all.

[Then slams it on the nearest surface!]
A mad dog is just as dangerous to itself as others.
Why don't you quit your yapping, Detective?

Cooler heads pave the path to justice. That's one of my rules.

...Maybe we should get Ms. Cykes over here for this.
