All-in-all, this has not been a very good day for Our Shimmering Lady, She of Unerring Purpose. She's not taking it well, either. She coils up on her concrete temple, hiding all her fleshy bits under a chitinous shell, and roars.

You should never piss off a Lady.]

C'mon, c'mon, c'mon! [Her hands are kind of full of explosives right now though so she's just going to...hop around next to the robot? This robot is too tall and she is too tiny and volatile.] Hey, help me up!

[ he slides down a bit, grabbing for her arm carefully. and Baymax kneels too so she doesn't have quite so steep of a climb. ]

[ scoots up to just behind Baymax's head so there's enough room for three. but you're gonna have to hold on tight, buddy. ]

[Cassius climbs on, and a vine slides out of his jacket sleeve and around the robot, thus ensuring that his completely un-athletic ass doesn't fall off.]

MID-BOSSES

[So, about those strangled and dead demons who didn't wake up with the rest? Do they seem a little more... mobile than they did before? And why is the Shimmering Lady letting out that creepy-sounding bug chuckle?

At this time, the dead will find themselves themselves remarkably less so. That's good! But they're also filled with a irrepressible drive to protect the Lady. That's bad. But they should be easy to defeat when you all have your power, right? That's good! But they're fully conscious and can feel pain. That's... bad? I'm going to go with bad.]

[Well, hello there. Kimblee's been content to watch the battle from a distance, though even without the Lady's urging, he's never really been one to stay on the sidelines for very long if he's given the opportunity to do otherwise.

So he's here, and arguably he's going to do what he's been doing this entire time: that is, make your lives just that much more miserable simply by merit of existing.

You're more than welcome to come see how "easy" he is to defeat, however. If anything, he welcomes the challenge.]

[she has seen WAY TOO MUCH SHIT today to be too startled by the fact that this dude's jacket grows plants. days from now this is going to strike her as highly unusual.]

Finally, something I know how to deal with.

[Shimmer turns a few eyes in their direction, though there's not much she can do about their ascent. She hisses a warning.]

[ Oswin doesn't have much in the way of powers, just his armor and a spear he's whipped up from a training pole and a sharp knife from one of the kitchens, but he's definitely not one to stay on the sidelines if he can help it, either.

He's had experience fighting the re-animated-and-powered-up dead before, too, so he doesn't have any intent of showing Kimblee any mercy. No, his blade is aimed right for Kimblee's heart. ]

[ Siebold can feel that there's something different about his Gyarados now; it's like water has returned after a terrible drought, restoring the sea serpent to its full strength at level 63. It's no longer nerfed to level 5 and it's pissed off. ]

Dragon Dance.

[ Siebold takes a few steps back, giving the Pokémon ample room to start moving around in a peculiar, dance-like way that doesn't seem to do anything at first, but then its movements become faster and faster. And maybe you're just imagining it, but doesn't it seem fiercer and more powerful somehow...? ]

Enough. Use Waterfall!

[ As soon as the command is issued, Gyarados rears its head back and unleashes a torrent of water large and strong enough to knock down trees. ]

You ready?! [She takes a big deep breath, turns around, and gives everyone down below one final warning.]

EVERYBODY MOVE!

[And then, in the teeny tiniest squeak of a voice that is definitely going to need some recharging after all that yelling—] I hope you figured out a better one-liner!

[Instead of waiting for that, though, as soon as they're positioned just above the Lady, she lobs down one of her explosives.]

[ hhhholds Baymax steady while she does that ]

[Kimblee came into this wanting a war and he got...Oswin, with a knife on a stick.

...You know what, you can't have everything.

Kimblee's reflexes have never been the best, but he's had military training and more than enough combat experience to not be taken down so easily; it's a little inelegant but it'll let him dodge the pointy thing for now, feinting back and bringing his hands together with a sharp snap as he does so.

The energy that action creates between his palms is bright blue for now, sharp and crackling, and he's quick to channel it into the ground, allowing it to arc down and detonate between them. So the ground's going to be really unstable and you might want to watch it, Oswin, but at least you're one of the few that's earned a warning shot from him.]

[Throws his as well, shouting out an excellent one-liner indeed:]

Yippee ki yay, motherfucker!

[Spontaneously coming back to life would actually be something of a relief to Banjou in normal circumstances.

This, however is, uh... not so good.

He isn't sure why he wants to protect the Lady so badly, but he does and he's not backing down. Banjou may be useless in a fight, but he's sturdy and capable of taking blows. He can even heal ridiculously fast if he's injured!

....but hopefully he won't be severely injured.]

[shimmershimmer]

[Both bombs strike the target, blowing massive holes in the Lady's shell and spraying nasty bug goo several feet into the air. This isn't enough to kill her, however, and she rears up and snaps her massive mandibles at Baymax.]

-- Whoa! Pull up, pull up!

[ he rears Baymax up in the nick of time, though she manages a solid gash in his stomach armor. ]

[shimmershimmer]

[The water knocks her off of her perch and the Shimmering Lady comes crashing down to the ground, curling up defensively as she lands.]

[She yelps as Baymax rears up, clinging desperately with her free hand—and god why is she even holding onto this she doesn't have nearly enough balance here, and tosses down the last bomb so she can hold onto him properly.]

Let's go, let's go!
