[ And just when you thought any more crazy shit couldn't happen -

A noise kind of like thunder rolls outward from one side of the village. Cracks begin to appear high up on the southernmost wall, beginning as a star-shaped point and rapidly expanding, fractaling out to make a weak spot roughly ten feet in diameter. Then chunks begin to fall out of it. The first hits the ground with a resounding crash that would have been plenty loud even if you hadn't heard that first rumble. More blast out in a wide arc that sends rocks into houses and trees (but hopefully not into any people).

Beyond the wall ... there's a whole lot of bright blue light streaming through. A circle of metal and circuitry being held in place by a seething mass of teeny tiny little robots. And the silhouettes of two familiar kids. ]

[ OK, Oswin's made a very respectable attempt at making sense of everything that's happened the past few days and the past few hours in particular. But this, this is the straw that has broken the camel's back. He can no longer pretend to have any fucking clue what is going on. So he's just gonna... stand here in quietly boggled silence until something he can understand starts happening again. ]

So you know those ghosts you have hanging around? I was the one who did that — it was my little trick to give me a leg up in the Lady's game. It's because of me they're conscious, and it's because of me you can see them. And I'm the one who can put them back in those bodies of theirs. Oh, maybe you'll figure out how to do it yourself, but I can do it right now, guaranteed.

[ Wow he's stiff Bulat is not a man accustomed to long periods of inactivity or even sleeping in past dawn to be honest and this has definitely broken his record. He's going to stretch out and fetch his armor asap, it might not have its usual weaponry attached but this seems like a situation for which one would want armor. Armor and a large knife from the kitchens and he can jury-rig a spear from there, it's not the sturdiest weapon but if he's fighting something like that he wants some reach on his side. ]
