Day 03 Trial
[Once more, you are called together for a trial. All must be present - even Kimblee, unfortunately, as Our Lady does not wish him to be left unguarded.]
Hello again, my Faithful. Today we have two important matters to disucss:
The first is that of our regular trial. We must not allow the demons to distract us from what is most important. I also feel that in general we have been a bit... mm... conflicted? Distracted? I understand how difficult this is, but we must be decisive with our judgment. Therefore, those who do not present a clear vote by the end of the trial will have their vote counted as being for themselves. All of you find this ruling to be fair and just.
The other matter is that of the demon within Kimblee and those like him. Once again, I am sensing hesitation. I cannot say I understand why. I have told you all demons are liars, have I not? I have told you that their hosts cannot be taken back from them, have I not? And yet you would let this useless compassion sway you?
Perhaps you are worried about the innocents who may lose their life in these votes. Tragic though it is, everyone makes mistakes. And yet inaction can only lead to all of us losing our lives. Do you truly think the demons wish to wake you up when all this is over? You shouldn't.
However, I cannot force anything on you, and shall admit that there are other possibilities. Let us discuss them here today.
((Ordinary trial vote
Special "what do we do about demons" vote
Let's try to get this done by the usual time tomorrow! However if everyone is undecided and/or the discussion is still raging at that point, I will extend.
OK! We're going to extend to 11:35am my time (that's 9:35pm EST) so if you haven't voted on both polls, PLEASE DO THAT))

End-of-trial options
I can also take care of those who have been condemned. I'll simply sever them from their dreams and keep them here with me, in my temple. They will never be the same again, but they will not be dead.
We can also send them to the barn. Those who go to the barn never return.
One final option is to make sure they cannot sleep, especially at night. They must be held captive and monitored at all times. I believe this to be the worst option, as it wastes our valuable time, and as demons are insidious, dangerous liars who will take every last advantage they can find.
Of course, you may also propose your own solution.

Flames is the best choice.

If not, I'd send them to the barn. That's basically a prison, right?

Lady Justice, what should we do with this demon?
no subject
Come now, Detective, it's not as though I'm going to bite anyone.

I'm aware that I'm condemned to whatever fate you all select for those like me. I won't try to argue that I should be spared.
But should you have any questions for me, you're permitted to ask. I can't give you the names of those my brethren are possessing, and I reserve the right to refuse to answer anything you ask of me. But since I've already lost the game, there's no sense in lying to you further; you've already shown me more mercy than I deserve, after all.

[With that said, Connor will be quieter in today's trial, hanging back and keeping an eye on Kimblee. Despite his usual stoic calm, it's clear he's unsettled by something.]
no subject
Just the same it's enough for him to notice when Connor is watching him, and while he doesn't move from his position near Fulbright, he meets his eyes long enough for it to clearly be intentional.
He doesn't think it'll have any effect. Not really. But he lets his gaze dart over to the Lady in a bit of a pointed manner before returning his attention to Connor.]

...But Mr. Banjou is the one I suspect most right now. Mr. Tsukiyama turned out to be innocent, and he seemed to suspect Mr. Banjou was a demon for being the one to encourage him to try to turn the village against me.

If there is any possibility of saving Kimblee, the man, then I would like to. He is a valuable asset in what is to come after this demon hunt. If the Lady can verify that is utterly and completely impossible, then I say, back to Hell with him.

If he is a Demon, I would like to see him burn, but I am not convinced. However, our other enemies have revealed themselves. I am, of course, talking about Eliot and Parker, the Maddened.
Truth be told, I am less inclined to trust the Maddened, the ones have made themselves clear they wouldn't mind seeing both the Faithful and the Demonic destroyed. They have no allegiances besides to anyone but themselves and nothing holds them back from sending the lot of you to oblivion.
That is why I say we should deal with enemies who we know to be enemies than friends who we assume could be enemies.

His brother is gone, that’s the only thing he’s been focused on. His heart really isn’t into this today.]
It’s true that I spoke with my brother privately about Fulbright-san.
Obviously, I was wrong, and my brother paid the price for my stupidity, but I thought it was possible the dove was a demon. Brother and I... we’ve had run-ins with doves before, so I didn't want to take any chances.
My instinct about this was wrong. I'm sorry.
It's just... I thought that Kimblee-san was the False Seer, so I...

The way Isaac is now, he's not any threat to us. The Lady can put other people to sleep the same way. That's what She just told me. So let's have Her take care of everyone who loses the trials like that!
So everyone who's all worried about the hosts should be happy since we aren't hurting them that way, the demons are out of the way and don't need to be monitored all the time, and if anything does go wrong we've still got 'em around to burn or whatever!
How about that?
