Day 04
[Good morning! For some of you, anyway. Probably. Here come the Shimmering Lady's announcements:]
The Hamadas, who were Soulmates and Demons, have disappeared from the village, and the three sleeping demons were fatally strangled at some point during the night.
The responsibility for these events lies solely on the Night Watch's shoulders. I don't like to be so harsh, but Night Watch is a very serious duty and one with no room for negligence. Therefore, as punishment for last night's irresponsibility, Ling Yao, an ordinary villager, has been sent to the barn.
In addition, Simon Blackquill, a Sinner, has been lost to dreams.
((Status & Roles
Updated Night Watch Roster - those without partners have been combined. Tonight's NW will be Lust and Badou.))

[This isn't her brother. Somewhere deep down, she's sure of that. As she is, she can't quite accept it, either.]
What's going on..?

[He reaches a hand out toward the air, still grinning maliciously.]
You might say that I've been woken up from a particularly long slumber. My thoughts are lucid, my mind clearer than it ever was, and I've figured out what I wanted all along.
[His smile and arm relaxes and his eyes narrow.]
... It was nice spending this time with you, I admit. Dull, but nice.

I'm saying... that our roles on this stage are almost up. And I refuse to give my bow without a finale.
[The Major starts walking. He walks past Clover and towards the direction of the Temple where the Lady is. His face is contorted into a sneer that seems directed at the world at large.]
You can join me if you want. But you know you don't have a choice in the matter.

[But she can feel her heart drop and she knows, all at once, that nothing left for her to do; she doesn't have a choice, and she won't be able to get out of the awful thing she's certain is going to happen.
She knows this, but she can't accept it. She looks at the monster and still sees her brother. Over all else, this matters most.]
Max, wait! [But there's nothing she can do to keep him from continuing towards the Temple, either; rooted where she stands by the bonfire and her burning cottage, she watches him leave, then stares blankly at nothing at all.]
