All right, then – I'll admit it openly, I'm a liar. I see no reason to deny that ever having been the case. But the point has been made repeatedly here, and I'll continue to stand by that point until I die – that fact does not make me a demon.

What I've done is still strategically prudent for the group, and that's simply because I don't have a role. Drawing the demons' focus away from the others who actually did have some important part to play in the grand scheme of things would have been in our own best interest; it's hardly my fault that Mr. Fulbright lacks the subtlety to understand that. It was my hope that I would draw the incubus' attention – that they would try to prevent me from seeing anything, or perhaps that they would aim toward me instead. Attracting the intention of the Templar was my intention, but it wasn't to leave the rest of the group defenseless – how could it have been, when I didn't know anyone's role any better than anyone else?

I was trying to get the demons to waste a shot on me.

Don't misunderstand me, I won't even try to claim my intentions were noble. It's as I've been saying from the start – this is a game to me, and it's nothing if I can't put my own soul on the line once in a while.
